Traverse a surreal dimension
Created by developer God Send, Deity—also known as Land of the Gods—is a free-to-play demo that has a young woman as its protagonist. Set in an unknown, almost dream-like dimension with no monsters or deadly traps, the player must help the woman find a diamond to open a gate.
Unlock the gate
In Deity, the protagonist can lie down on a rainbow-colored boat to transport her, albeit slowly, from one platform to another. It’s possible to skip the boat ride by sprinting and timing your jump—but if you don’t successfully land at the other platform—you’ll have to start from the beginning.
Later on, you’ll guide a diamond and use it as a key to open a gate. Once the gate has been opened, the demo will end. However, the drawbacks of playing this side-scroller title include high brightness and slow loading times when starting the game.
Shows promise despite the flaws
Deity is an ethereal side-scroller without any traps to hinder player progress. So far, it has a simple gameplay: find the diamond and open the gate. Unfortunately, the slow load times and boat ride will surely test your patience. The game is too bright, as well.
